Therapy
The therapeutic relationship is most effective when it is a collaborative effort between psychologist and client. Dr. Russell's orientation includes looking at the interventions within the context of the family, and building skills using primarily a cognitive behavioral approach.

Evaluations/Testing
Psycho-educational evaluations, kindergarten readiness, AIG testing, early admission testing, Metrolina Regional Scholars' Academy admissions testing, Gifted and Talented evaluations, diagnositic evaluations (including learning disabilities and ADHD), and neuropsychological screenings are offered. Areas assessed may include: Intelligence Academic Skills Problem Solving Processing Planning and Organizing Attention Memory Learning Styles Anxiety/Mood Perceptual and Motor Abilities Language Processing The cost for an IQ test for school admission is $350.00. Testing for school purposes is not covered by insurance. This cost is all-inclusive (includes test administration, scoring, report writing and a face-to-face follow up. Parenting Classes
Parenting Classes are offered as half day workshops as well as ongoing classes. The Love and Logic approach to parenting, teaching, and discipline is taught, focusing on teaching responsibility and respect without anger, lectures, or threats. Parenting is made fun again!!
